Trinity’s Mission Statement is simple: “We are a community where Jesus is Lord: our mission is to invite, welcome, nurture, and equip ALL people to be disciples in His name.” Notice how it says ALL people, not just the adults. This is an especially important statement when looking at our youth.
The Board of Young People’s Work (or Youth Board) does just that. We invite and welcome ALL of our youth to participate in activities and events that we have available for them with the hopes that these events will help nurture and equip them to be disciples out in the world. We offer them chances to participate in service events to help them better understand the needs of people from our own community of Sleepy Eye as well as the rest of the country and the world. We also give them opportunities to participate in gatherings with other Christian Youth. It is important for them build relationships with youth from other communities who believe in the same things and to both get and give support to their peers. By offering many activities and chances to serve their community in both fun and meaningful ways we want them to know that others will see the Light of Christ through them and that is what makes us all disciples in the Lord’s name
