All are welcome here at Trinity. We really mean that! We are located at:
217 Brackenridge St. SW Sleepy Eye, MN 56085 There are two main entrances to the building. The north entrance has a covered drop off zone, with ample street parking on Brackenridge St. Once you enter through those doors, the Sanctuary will be on your left. Offices and the library are down the hall in front of you. On the south side of the building, there is a large parking lot. For worship, or to visit the offices, library, or friendship room, please head up the ramp. For activities held in the classrooms or fellowship hall, head toward the downstairs door. If you enter through the ramp door, the main office and Pastor's office will be in that hallway on your left. To reach the sanctuary, please continue through the hallway until you reach the narthex (larger open area) and the sanctuary will be on your right. Feel free to stop in the main office with any questions. |
If you are joining us for worship, please head into the sanctuary. Here's what to expect when it comes to worship.
Overall, worship at Trinity is fairly casual. Please come as you are! People regularly worship in jeans and a T-shirt, a suit, or anything in between.
When you get here, you'll first want to pick up a bulletin from one of our ushers. In that you will find the full order of service, including printed music and the announcements. Feel free to sit anywhere you like. Worship will last about an hour.
Our worship is "liturgical", meaning that it follows a pattern of worship that has been done for thousands of years. Worship however doesn't feel ancient! We use a mix of hymns and more contemporary music to aid in our worship. You will also see different groups helping to lead the music depending on the Sunday. The bell choir, Trinity school youth, youth choir, adult choir, or our worship team are regularly engaged in leading music along with our music director on piano or organ. Sermons often deal with how to engage faithfully in the real world, grounded in the teachings of the Bible.
Holy Communion is served on the first and third Sundays of the month, in addition to special days. We at Trinity proclaim that all are welcome, and that means at communion too. Wherever you are at in your faith journey, know that the grace and love given in Holy Communion is for you as well. People who do not wish to receive communion, but would like to come forward can still receive an individual blessing during communion.
In many places, worshiping with kids is a nerve racking experience, but it doesn't have to be! We at Trinity also know the importance of having our children in worship and we love having kids around! To help parents and kids get the most out of worship, we have several different options. We provide "busy bags" filled with different toys and activities for youth to take with them to their seats. An unstaffed friendship room is also available with a live feed of the worship service on a screen. During the worship service, kids will be invited forward for a special "children's sermon" with the pastor as well.
After worship is done, feel free to stay and enjoy a treat in our library near the sanctuary.
