First Communion

At Trinity Lutheran Church,
we recognize that Christ welcomes
all people to the Communion Table.
We also recognize the importance of Communion
for our forgiveness, for our growth in faith,
and our joining in the Communion of the Saints.
With that in mind, we offer first Communion classes
to our 3rd Graders to help them learn about
God's incredible love for them
made manifest in the gift of Communion.

Our 2026 First Communion Classes take place on Wednesdays.

Session 1: March 25th - Basics of Communion in the Friendship Room at Trinity
Session 2: April 8th - Making a Communion Chalice at Mark Thomas
Session 3: April 15th - Making Communion Bread that will be used on the 19th

On Sunday, April 19th at worship, our 3rd Graders will take their First Communion.

Our class consists of three dates, one class session (March 25th), one chalice making session (April 8th), and one bread making session (April 15). We hope that your child and atleast one parent/guardian can make it to each session.
